Hilda Sandgren

Feed Me To The Waves

Bild
From the city of Västerås in the middle parts of Sweden hails the band “Feed Me To The Waves” which plays intriguing instrumental rock. In late 2019 they released their latest album “Intill” and we sent over some questions to see what the band is up to in 2020. First of all, how are you doing during these current Corona times? Considering the circumstances, we're doing fine. It's obviously a tough and weird time for everyone, but as long as we're able to stay healthy we can't complain.   Could you tell us why you started the band and which goals you had when you first started out? In 2014 Tom and Robert, who played in another band at the time, was left musically stranded as their drummer moved out of town. To fill the void they set out to form a new band and after a couple of twists and turns "Feed Me To The Waves" was formed. Our goals back then pretty much consisted of getting together and play music we enjoyed. A lot of time was put i...

Bild
Since the late 1970´s the musician and taper Scott Heller has been into the flow and service of music. If not playing music in various bands himself, then recording many various bands and concerts trough all these years from the audience. With experience from many decades and recording countless bands we sent over some questions to the taper-pro.                                                          R-09 - Digital Recorder. First of all we got to know a bit late that you also have been taping for so many decades, and if we´ve known earlier you would of course have been included in the new taping book “Tapers Of The World”. Let us know your humble beginnings as a musician and a taper and why you started to tape concerts? In the late 70s, when I moved to New Mexico, I became obsessed with music. IT was all I lived for. We had a great...

Review - “Amon Düül And The Birth Of Krautrock 1968-1972" Author: Tobias Petterson Released: 2013 Buy:   motljud.com Writing a book about a band that has meant a lot to the krautrock-movement and inspired countless instrumental rock and post-rock bands and even the likes of U2, is not an easy operation. This book deals with both the birth of this mythological german band and the political and social context in which they grew up within and how all of these parameters affected the band which is known as “Amon Düül”. The Swedish writer and musician Tobias Petterson points out in the foreword that quote: “ This is an unofficial biography. It has not been authorized by any of the members of Amon Düül II, although during the writing of this book some of them have been interviewed at length, providing invaluable information. There are a lot of rumours surrounding Amon Düül II, and many things have been written and said about them. Many of these rumours are almost i...

Crash Nomada

Bild
It´s hard to come across a band with such diverse and professional musicianship as the Swedish Gypsy-Folk-Rock band “Crash Nomada”. Fast, upbeat, slow, moody and with the roots of punk the band has reached their first album which is purely being sung in their native Swedish language. We sent over some questions to the band to see what influenced the band this time around. Singer and guitarist Ragnar Bey answered the questions for us.                                                        Courtesy: Crash Nomada First of all we were a bit late this time around compiling an interview for your latest release. The album has been out now for a while. Which reactions have you got this time around so far? Ragnar: The album has received good reviews and people have been very positive which is great.
