Watter

Bild
Since their debut album, ”This World”, back in 2014 Louisville band “Watter” has slowly built up a reputation as one of the most interesting instrumental bands around. Developing and expanding further with their second album “History of the Future” released in 2017 and some touring later, we hooked up with Zak Riles  and Tyler Trotter in 2019.                   Courtesy: Watter Band (2014) We first heard about “Watter” from an American taping friend who provided us with a copy of one of your concerts back in 2015. After listening back to that tape, we bought both the CD and LP-version, and that was the most spinned LP-vinyl of that year. Was starting “Watter” a conscious decision or was it solely a solo project in the beginning? Tyler:  Originally it was a conscious decision to do a recording project. Zak and I both owned stores (Bluegrass Green and  Louisville Beer ...

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark and with constant line-up changes we have the unique collective space band “Øresund Space Collective”, which has had over 30 different members from mostly Denmark and Sweden sharing the duties of performing with the band. Since the start in 2004 they´ve released countless studio and live recordings. Let´s hear what Scott Heller from the band had to say about this mega project.                                           Courtesy: Ø resund Space Colletctive ( ØSC) First of all, thanks for taking your time and answering the questions for us. Venerea

From the westcoast town of Falkenberg in Sweden we have one of the most hardworking and enduring bands within the melodic punkrock scene. Approaching almost 30 years as a band “Venerea” was born in the early 1990´s when you still bought CD:s instead of downloading MP3:s from the Internet. We sent over some questions about the past, present and the future.                                       Courtesy: Venerea Band. First of all, congratulations for still being around and making some great and kicking music after all these years. Sweden was quite a different country back in the early 1990´s. We were lucky enough to get your first humble demo tapes back in the day. Obviously you had a lot of humor in your lyrics on your early demos and your first minialbum “Hullabaloo”. Wha...

Trettioåriga Kriget

The progressive swedish rockband ”Trettioåriga Kriget” has been around for some 50 years including some breaks. Still going strong after so many years, we sent over some questions with reflections about the past, the present and the future. Here´s what they had to say.                                 Courtesy: Trettioåriga Kriget You started the band already back in 1970 and you have had different periods where you have been active and also periods with some breaks in between. Which period and era has been the best so far? Stefan Fredin: I have to say the late period which started when we did reunite the band in 2004. This period have been more relaxed and fun than the early days. Like we rediscovered why we are playing which of course is the joy of it! During this period we have also been able to play all over ...

Sir Reg Band

Bild
Last time we heard from the Irish and Swedish celticpunkrockers “Sir Reg” was back in 2011 when they toured their album “Sign of the Times”. Since then they´ve released a couple of great albums and toured heavily around the globe. We thought it was about time to catch up with the band and see what they are up to in the year of 2019.                                                               Courtesy: Sir Reg. First of all, great to hear from you again and your latest album is as always kicking it. From 2011 and the release of “Sign of the Times” up until now, what has been the highlights for you? Brendan: Hi!  Thanks very much. We’ve been up to a lot since we last spoke and gone through various ...
